Thrusday, Canada Day, Tuesday

Happy (very belated) Canada Day
I love Canada day, it's always fun! Did all the cliche stuff, went to the parade and like fair thing..and me and my sister went down the giant inflatable slide that was meant for little kids. =P
Then I was going to go see the fireworks at 11, but got a facebook message from my bosses husband asking if I could come in and do night chores at 9, because my coach was at the hospital. She's okay, she still gets a bit sick from the concussion she got in December.
So I went and did chores and he drove four hours back from up north. But he needed to go picker her up from the hospital and since she drove herself, whats the point of having to leave a car there. I drove him to the hospital, which is in the city by my mums school and I figured it wouldn't be to hard to get back home. HA! Yeah right. Fuck, TC (a mall) had a bunch of little carnival rides in the parking lot and the cops had all these turns and intersections blocked off and we drove around for half an hour trying to find an entrance to the hospital. Ridiculous.
So anyway, go lost trying to find my mums school to get home then found the street we came in on, gave up and followed that.

Don't remember much from last Thursday other than we did work on sharp, jumper turns. Pony obviously did amazing since she's so tiny. We did have one rail down but she did do her usually crazy freak out. Yay! We rode inside, cause of the rain, so that was nice.

Today, oh my god, I almost died. It's like 27 degrees out, no shade and I forgot my water bottle. I hate heat and I don't do well with it, so it was awful. Well, not quite, the first time around the coarse was good, but after the third last jump, she had one of her crazy freak outs. I let her turn her head in and she did her crazy running thing and turned way to sharp and we missed the line. When we came back to it, she was still a bit loppy, but did good to the first jump in the last line but took off waaaaay to long to the oxer at the end. But I didn't catch her in the mouth!! Yay! She knocked the second rail on the oxer, but from what everyone else in the lesson said there could have been a third rail in front because that was how far she took off.
Anyway, at this time I was super dehydrated and feeling a bit sick, and was breathing kind of like I was winded but not quite. I don't think K really saw cause she wanted me to go again and finish the last line right away, but once I got Pony moving I was able to breath better. Probably should have said something but oh well. We made it over and it worked out well.
At the end we did a little four jump jump off thing and if I hadn't been feeling so terrible, me and Pony totally could have owned it. We did mostly all the sharp turns, but not back to the oxer, I was just to tired for that crap.

Also, I got my Tragus pierced today!! Sometimes I forget it's there and I go to scratch my ear or something, and it hurts like a bitch! It wasn't as bad I was told by my friend that had hers done, theres a lot of pressure, but it's not so bad. My poor sister, she came to get her navel done, it went fine. But then she watched mine get done and it bleed a fair bit. She does not handle blood well, or watching people get stabbed by giant needles, so she got a bit light headed and had to lay down on the piercing bed for a bit. But she was so pale on the drive home, she was half way between getting sick or fainting, but she made it. Then like 10 minutes away her hands started to cramp up and her feet and she can't move them and it really hurts. So her friend that was with us, massaged one and then when we got home we brought her some ice to try and relax them.
She's okay now,  I guess she went into a bit of shock after or something. So she's not planning on watching anyone get pierced anytime soon.

Tuesday & Thursday (& Random Stuff)

Sorry. I guess I lied about writing right after a ride.

Anyway. Tuesday was decent. Harder coarse and a very unappealing oxer (that didn't faze Pony at all).
The lines were not a lot of fun because most were bending, but sharp bending ones. So that sucks, but we got them done. I wasn't counting to start with so that caused some problems, but once I stared counting things went much better. She didn't care at all about the oxer, which was great.

Pony has this stupid and horribly annoying habit of stopping at the first jump we do at least once. That must change.

Thursday, not very different from Tuesday but we did better on lines and stuff since I knew what needed to be done. The oxer was still ugly and she had one weird attempt at it, we didn't have enough speed so she put in an extra stride I wasn't expecting. But other than that it was good.

Some extra irrelevance:  I'm dying part of my hair blue! Bright blue! I'm very excited, I started bleaching it this afternoon. I had one bottle but had to apply it about six times. The first time, the roots turned a really lovely blond, but the rest of it is varying shades of dark yellow and copper. I'm putting in the toner tomorrow and hoping that helps. Thank god for Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner or my hair would feel like straw.  So, with any luck this time tomorrow I'll have lovely turquoise hair! Punky Colour, is the brand I'm using this time. It's about a buck more than Manic Panic, but I'm trying this one first. Haha, so we'll see how it goes.

Do incompetent people bother you? 'Cause they piss me off.
I have stretched ears right, and it's a 'dangrous' thing to do. You have to be careful because if you move to fast or skip to many sizes you risk infections and blow outs. Blow outs are disgusting and painful and usually mean you have to start over again. What happened was: Months ago I bought a set of tapers from Culture Craze months ago. I asked for 16g (one size up from what your ears are usually pierced with). Now, this is also sort of my fault because I didn't notice this) but the chick gave me 12g. That is a HUGE leap up and not very safe. Luckily nothing happened, it just hurt like a bitch. The only reason I even figured this out was because I went back on Monday thinking I had 14g in (I noticed later it looked like it was the same size as my industrial which is a 14g). I asked for 12 and the girl (diff one this time) asked to measure what I had into make sure I wasn't buying what I already had. Turns out I had 12's all along.

At 10g now. They're so cute! One is black with white marbling and the other is white with black. These didn't hurt at all! Hoping to move to 8g in a couple weeks or so.

Jumping and Ramblings

Yesterdays lesson actually went really well, and it would have been great if I hadn't been so tired and was actually able to pay attention.

Mostly just messed up on serpentines' and stuff because I'd forget how many loops we were doing or whether we were starting from C or A. We had one really good serpentine at the beginning, got the bend and balanced back over the center line, but after that not so much. As my trainer said "you seem a bit looser than usual today." I knew something felt off, and I guess it was that, and of course she was right. To much movement in the foot, hands were to lose on the reins, wrists moving, back on straight....So, going to have to move the workout to a different day. As the lesson went on I managed to wake up a bit and fix my posture.

We had less problems with the left lead, I think he may have dropped it once but he was good. Right, at first we had a beautiful canter, nice and balanced and he didn't drop it! Later on though he struggled to pick it up, optining to jump in to the canter and pick up the wronge lead, so that was frustrating, but we got it in the end. Fingers crossed it will be warm on Sunday so we can work on upward transitions.
No flat trot yesterday either, he was nice and forward and kept his head low. So that was an improvement, I wonder if it has anything to do with the nice weather that's come back and he's in a good mood, or he knew that I brought crunchies.

No actual jumping course, but the jumps had a bit more height to them this week, so Tommy actually showed them a bit of respect. Our trainer recorded the jumping parts so she can watch them and find things each individual rider needs to work on. So she said she'd email them to us or something, so when I get them I'll hopefully post them. He's got a stylin' My Little Pony look going on thanks to one of my friends who started braiding his mane while I got him brushed and ready to go. As usual after jumping he got his "cheese burger" supplement mix after. He was very excited for that AND crunchies, even though the filly in the stall next to the one he was tried to tried to bite his ear off. The trainer was feed thing the horses and opened the fillies stall and she made this weird lunge at Tommy, who wasn't to bothered, since he had his bucket of grains/mash. I guess she thought he'd steal hers or something because normally she's pretty friendly.

I went to the mall in the city yesterday afternoon, since we had yesterday and today of school. I've wanted to stretch my ears for ages! So I talked to the girl at Culture Craze, about starting, and bought a pair of tapers for $20, it's a bit expensive since I could buy the same thing from Hot Topic, for $14 and get two tapers, two plugs and extra o-rings. Then I figured shipping could be a lot! because they also sell gorgeous pincher and plugs in the max size I'd go to (2) but turns out that's not true, it's still cheaper, only $18 with shipping. So maybe I'll go with them next time? If mum lets me use her pay pal.

My left hand looks so weird! But yeah, they're pretty small 16g I believe.

Yay Tom Tom!

Had a free ride yesterday and my friend couldn't go because she was at a concert. Which I'm quite glad about. We did lots of circles and transitions. On free rides I try and ride bareback a bit, so we did that. He did soooo well!! Had a nice trot, and he picked up that canter right away, so we didn't have that horrible bouncy, uneven trot that he usually starts with. And it was a lovely balanced canter too! We went around the whole arena, rather than just doing circles at the top. The only bad bit was the trot coming out of the canter, we had a really bad, choppy trot, but it'll get better.

Getting my industrial bar on Saturday!!

Soo tired!! Had a meeting with my trainer but she's in the ER, so that's definitely not good, but she did give me a workout to do on my own.

So much to say...

Tommy did really well towards the end of the lesson today. He loves to take of long to jumps and at 2'3" its not that much of a problem, but he's lazy and not using his back end so we're trying to get him to take off closer to the jump. And by then end he did super well over a course of six jumps so I'm proud of him.

My nose stud go ripped out of my face today. Yeah, we had a chem lab and the goggles slid down my nose and when I took them off, I just pulled them straight off my face and the edge caught under neath the stud and pulled it right out. Didn't hurt surprisingly and luck me (literally!) my chem partner who used to have hers done and a couple left over in her pencil case. Don't worry (as I'm sure you are =P) they were clean and sterile and what not, so I've got that in now. Going to the mall with my besty tomorrow so probably going to pick up a couple new packs then if they aren't to much.
Also have to see how much some cheap extensions are so that I can get dyeing my hair! Well technically someone elses...well no, because its synthetic hair...whatever. So I'm still unsure about which colors I want to start with because its $25 for 2 tubs of dye and I still need some new permanent black stuff, but I think I'll what to do that until a week or some before I go on holidays. Only 39 sleeps left! Which means I need to get my ass in gear for working out! Everyday after school god damn it! and NO junk food!!

And last thing for tonight, my bio partner is insane...actually now that I think about that could be really long...so yeah, he's nuts and I'm going to bed =D
